Last year there was a lot of interest in the Ute Pushing Event. As expected many teams from Maldon & surrounding districts competed for the magnificent "MALDON'S VEGIE PATCH TROPHY".

The impressive perpetual trophy for this event was made by a local Maldon craftsman and stands over 1 metre tall! It is constructed of solid timber, and is surmounted by a beautiful model of a ute. There is enough room on the trophy to record the winners' names for the next 100 years.

The inaugural event was won by the Maldon Fire Brigade Running Team, but this year they will be having to defend it against some very serious competion.
