DESCRIPTION OF EVENT
In this event, teams of 3 people (2 pushing & 1 steering) push a ute over a measured course.
The winning team is the one that travels the distance in the shortest time.
CLARIFICATION: THE PERSON STEERING THE UTE MUST NOT HELP TO PUSH!
PRIZES
Teams will be competing for the "Maldon's Vegie Patch Ute Pushing Trophy".
This perpetual trophy remains the property of the Maldon & Baringhup Agricultural Society.
The winning team may keep and display the trophy, but it must be returned at the
end of August in the following year.
Each member of the teams placing First, Second, & Third will be presented with a certificate and a ribbon to signify their achievement.
ENTRY FEE
$6 per team.
RULES
1. The team member steering the ute must be 16 years old minimum & hold a driver's licence (or at least a learner's permit).
2. Any team that pushes the ute into the safety barrier at the end of course (straw bales secured in place by star posts driven into the ground) will be disqualified.
3. Where interpretation of the meaning or intention of these rules is required, this will be done only by the Judge for the event. His/her decision is final.
4. The Judge is empowered to make any other such rules as he/she deems necessary.
5. These rules are to be bought to the attention of all entrants, and the payment of their entry fee will signify their acceptance of these rules.
