Porcupine Village Open Working Horse Challenge open to all horses.

The management of Maldon’s well-known tourist attraction, Porcupine Village, have provided very generous support for the working horse competition at this year’s Maldon Show.

The competition, named “The Porcupine Village Open Working Horse Challenge” will be decided over 5 events.

These will be: Led, Ridden, Working, Time Trial (over an obstacle course), and Cattle Work.

The competition is open to ALL HORSES, not just registered Australian Stock Horses.

To supplement the enjoyment of participating in the challenge, prize money on offer in the open class totals $750, plus a rug.
There are also Intermediate and Junior classes, each of which puts a total of $100 prizemoney and a rug up for grabs.
